These famous Coffee Shops right in the center of KL are sure to delight any atmospheric interiors explorers and hipster cafe vibes enthusiasts..
So have a delicious beverage in the best cafes in Malaysia, take photos in rattan chairs and in front of beautiful rusitc walls, and enjoy the South Asian vintage ambiance. Aslo check out the Top 7 Instagrammable Coffee Shops in Malacca.
Housed inside a former brothel on Petaling Street in Chinatown, this uber-popular cafe is a must visit for Instagrammers and everyone else hunting for cool atmospheric interior shots with an Asian vintage ambiance. If you show up on the weekend: expect a long line waiting on the neon pink lit steps. Although the entrance to this place is humble and understated (just like back in the days when it used to be a brothel), the number of people trying to get a table here makes you wonder what all the fuss is about.
Coffee is blah, same goes for the cold drink we ordered, which was below mediocre, so didn’t really feel like having food here but they serve Malay dishes with a modern twist, which could be interesting to try. The interior will not disappoint though!

Third Wave Coffee to Chocolate Bean Cafe
Absolutely love this place for having it all: great chocolate, an Instagrammable interior, chill vibes and a pretty creative menu dishes made daily by Chef Irfan Najhan (I can spend hours here working or writing a blog). The cafe actually occupies the whole building, so definitely go on an exploring mission to find that perfect spot for you to settle at. The second-floor area is pretty cozy and laid back, full of plush cushions and pillows, but the first floor has AC.
I love having my daily caffeine fix here (it is a bit on the citrusy side) but this place actually focuses on chocolate. This is a Third Wave Coffee and Chocolate Cafe.
You can have a cup of traditional hot chocolate or one of the more modern versions of the drink. The most popular beverage here is the refreshing cool chocolate with coconut water served in an actual coconut. But my favorite drink has got to be the Classic Hot Chocolate with Coconut Milk (absolutely love it with a shot of espresso as well). It’s so creamy and oh so delicious!
If craving something super healthy, go for the coco Nitro Kombucha made on site. Seniman Kakao is not yet on the lists of the most popular “Instagram-worthy cafes” because it opened only recently and that’s good news for you: enjoy your beverage and take cool shots all over this stylish coffee shop without a crowd.

The new kid on the block, this Instagrammable Cafe with Victorian-era inspired decor definitely stands apart from the rest with its cool dark interior. You will get a dose of floral sensation here as well though, along with some sandy pastels of the outside seating area.
Expect Western-style dishes like the Classic Chicken Chop alongside Oriental plates and lite bites like the Mushroom Croissant. Stop by for a cup of coffee or Lavender Tea. Very reasonably priced. Love the catchy name which made me do a double take and eventually check this place out.
If you are craving vintage vibes, delish beverages and an Instagram worthy interior - this place is for you. Vintage 1988 is definitely one of the most popular KL cafes for getting a bite with friends or family and taking some cool pictures in the meantime.
Many come here dressed to compliment the vintage ambiance, so that might be something to consider before you head here to take that perfect shot. This place is packed on the weekend but quiet and peaceful on the weekdays.
The beautiful thing about Vintage 1988 is that you can transition into delicious alcoholic cocktails and beer, small bites and ice cream as the day goes by. There is also a custom jewelry shop here, which makes it easy to create a very Instagrammable necklace or a bracelet for yourself or someone special in your life.

These KL cafes didn’t make my top instagrammable list but
deserve to be mentioned:
Traditional yet modern coffee shop located in the lobby of a quaint hotel. When in need of a quality full bodied brew, that’s where I go. Coffee is great here and service very friendly. You will see many Asian couples patiently taking photos of each over in this cafe. Don’t forget to snap a shot in one of those beautiful rattan chairs outside.

Hipster vibes with old-world ambiance mixed with lots of corporate patrons who seem to really appreciate the western style dishes. Food is top notch, service is friendly and soft shell crab burger is the most paparazzi-worthy dish here. Check out the airy spacious communal area on the second floor which is perfect for working on your laptop.

A coffee shop with minimal rustic atmosphere where the motto is Mies’ “less is more.” Love it for the absolutely delicious high-quality coffee. It is also one of the best cafes for digital nomads to work at (plenty of them already here). I just love the outside shaded area full of lush green plants and a pair of green, very cozy couches mixed with minimalistic furniture. Was very tempted to put this place on the list but there are not enough Instagram-worthy focal points here. Although, those green couches outside are just fabulous.

Not very instagrammable but a popular cafe among tourists who are craving western style food. Coffee pretty mediocre here and food expensive but the place is packed so I might be just a tough critic and there is a chance you might love it. The cafe is adjacent to one of the most popular hostels in KL, Back Home Hostel, which might be the contributing factor to it being in high demand. Music a bit too pop and annoying here for me as well, but then again, it’s all a matter of taste. Seems like plenty of folks enjoying themselves here.
